2023-2024 Corporate Sponsorship Program

Gone are the days of the bake sale. Today, our schools seek to provide an educational experience that far exceeds the standard curriculum and the Hopkinton Parent Teacher Organization (HPTO) is raising the money to support our schools in that endeavor. Since our inception 30 years ago, we have raised over $2.5 million dollars, which is funneled directly into the schools from preschool thru high school. Funding programs critical in maintaining our district's competitive edge is our mission. Hopkinton is currently ranked 18th of the top-ranking schools by Boston Magazine 2022 and ranked 2nd in “2023 Best Public School Districts” by Niche.

What we do and HOW we do it!

The Hopkinton Parent Teacher Organization (HPTO) is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization whose mission is to support the enrichment and betterment of the Hopkinton Public Schools through direct volunteer work, advocacy, and financial donations. Most of our financial support goes towards funding enrichment programs at the elementary and middle school levels. Over the years, we have brought numerous programs to the schools including, storyteller Len Cabral, Rick and Dick Hoyt, Techsploration, the Boston Tea Party, Chris Herren and Yoko Watkins. At the high school our financial support is used to fund enrichment programs, clubs, the art program, events and class events. Last year our support was used to help fund the science and engineering fair, Boys State and Girls State Leadership Conferences, Freshman Orientation, Senior Transition Day, the Model UN club and so much more.  HPTO coordinates volunteers throughout the schools, offers extracurricular classes, and provides parent programs and communications. Additionally, the HPTO funds classroom technology, teacher professional development, student scholarships, and other educational supports. Our impact is far reaching.

This year we are looking to raise $100,000 to support the growing need for enrichment in and out of the classroom. As we have developed our organization over the years, we are no longer looked at as a group of volunteers baking cookies for a cause. We have become a critical source of funding the principals look to each year. On top of the budget, we give every school each year, we receive additional funding requests.  Last year, our board voted to fund a positive behavioral intervention program at Marathon.  Elmwood requested money to purchase folding chairs with storage rack to allow for seating for all with a growing population.  Due to increased costs, Hopkins needed extra money to cover their planned enrichment programs.  At the middle school, the HPTO provided classroom library sets to several classrooms to provide more current and diverse titles for our students.  A shed was requested at the high school to store equipment for the practical skills course being offered.  Additional requests are already coming in this year for a parent program and a digital sign board to increase communication and engagement.  The needs are high and we don’t like to say NO.

Since 1993 the HPTO has, on average, funded $125,000 to the Hopkinton Schools yearly. In the past 5 years we can see the impact other organization’s fundraising efforts have had on our earning potential. Our goal this year is to get back to the $100K mark. New this year our sponsorship program will correspond with the calendar year (January- January) by committing now, you get a few extra months!

Please join us in support of the Hopkinton Public Schools.  By fostering the minds of our young learners, we strengthen our community.  Your financial contribution would directly impact the lives of ALL our students though funding of enrichment programs, technology, professional development programs and so much more.  We appreciate your consideration and look forward to partnering with you.
